I read this book a couple of years ago. I found it very interesting. The woman's side of the Native American historic views is certainly an enlightening change. Ms. Spector has woven the actual archaeological evidence into an enthralling picture of a Dakota woman's life. She also pictures what the lifestyle in the villages would have been like.
